Job Summary

Activ8 Energies is a fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector with state of the art new headquarters. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Solar Electrician to install & commission Solar PV systems. Nice clean work, primarily on existing dwellings, but also on commercial buildings from time to time.

We will provide 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training. Saturday work available upon request.

We are willing to pay top rates. Along with this, you will be joining an experienced staff of over 160 people, from admin to accounts, from carpenters to fellow electricians who are part of our quarterly social club events helping bring you into the Activ8 fold.

Responsibilities:

  • Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
  • Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
  • Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license.
