Activ8 Powers Forward: Ireland’s Leading Solar Panel Company acquires 50% of Allbrite

Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan 21st/22ndAugust 2023: Activ8 Energies, Ireland's premier commercial solar panel company, today announced the strategic acquisition of Allbrite, a leading heat pump company in Ireland. With a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation, this merger acquisition consolidates Activ8's position as a pioneering force in renewable energy solutions inIreland, combining its renowned solar expertise with Allbrite's impressive heat pump knowledge. The amount of the transaction is undisclosed.

 

Since its establishment in 2007, Activ8 has been to the forefront of Ireland's solar revolution, with in excess of 17,500 solar panel installations. As the trusted voice of solar power across the island, the company has transformed the energy landscape, offering innovative solutions that align with environmental and economic goals. This acquisition marks a significant expansion of its services and underlines its dedication to providing comprehensive, sustainable energy solutions.

 

In June 2022 the company, which now employs 185, moved into a new headquarters in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. SSE Airtricity is a 50% joint venture partner with Activ8 Solar Energies.

 

Founded by Alan Duffy in 2002, Allbrite has built a positive reputation and is renowned for its commitment to excellence. With a staff of over thirty, the company completes around five hundred installations annually and is one of Ireland's largest heat pump installers. Allbrite's impressive portfolio includes key projects for Limerick County Council and the groundbreaking district heating system for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. It was previously a winner of awarded the"Sustainable Excellence of the Year" accolade in 2008.

 

In line with the governments Climate Action Plan and a target of 600,00 heat pump installations by 2030, there is a clear roadmap ahead. With Activ8's backing and integration into the "One Stop Shop" model, there is an anticipation for a surge in heat pump installations with projected growth to 1,100 heat pump installations per year in the next two years and establishing Allbrite as the largest heat pump installer in the country moving forward. With this planned growth comes the need for an additional 30 jobs to be created in Allbrite within. the next 12 months. With a current fleet of thirteen vans, the expanded enterprise will become the premier destination for comprehensive, sustainable energy installations.
