About the Project

Boundary Mill partnered with Activ8 Energies to deliver a 1.58 MWp rooftop solar PV system, designed around the site’s energy requirements and available roof space.

Featuring SolarEdge inverters and optimisers, the system is expected to generate approximately 1.20 GWh of clean electricity every year, supplying around 32% of the site’s total electricity demand.

The installation provides significant financial and environmental benefits, including an estimated saving of 231 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually and a projected first-year financial benefit of £819,000. With a simple payback period of just two years, the system is expected to deliver substantial long-term value throughout its 25-year projected lifespan.

Project Management

“By investing in rooftop solar, Boundary Mill is demonstrating how renewable energy can deliver significant financial returns while reducing carbon emissions and reliance on grid electricity.”
