Chief Executive Officer
Ciaran Marron is the Founder and CEO of Activ8 Energies, having established the company in 2007 with a vision of making renewable energy more accessible across Ireland. A qualified Electrician and Electronic Engineer, Ciaran has over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy, electrical, and mechanical industries, leading Activ8 to become one of Ireland’s largest and most respected solar installation companies.
Throughout his career, Ciaran has remained at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, building strong relationships with leading global technology partners and helping drive innovation across the business. His expertise has contributed to the successful delivery of large-scale residential and commercial renewable energy projects, while also supporting the development of Ireland’s domestic Solar PV grant scheme and wider industry standards.
Beyond Activ8, Ciaran is an active member of both the MREF Technical Committee and the NSAI Standards Committee for Solar PV, helping shape best practice and quality standards across the industry. His leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to innovation continue to drive Activ8’s growth as Ireland’s leading renewable energy company.
Away from the business, Ciaran is a devoted family man, married with four children, and remains actively involved in his local GAA club. Supporting grassroots sport is something he is deeply passionate about, and he is especially proud of Activ8’s long-standing sponsorship of Monaghan GAA teams. Whether following the latest developments in renewable energy or the Formula 1 calendar, Ciaran has a genuine passion for innovation, performance, and continuous improvement, qualities that extend from the racetrack to the way he leads the business.

Chief Operations Officer
Aidan Marron has been instrumental in the company’s growth and operational development over the past 15 years. As COO, he oversees the delivery and performance of Activ8’s operations, ensuring the business continues to scale efficiently while maintaining high standards of service, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Having joined Activ8 during a key stage of its growth, Aidan has played a central role in developing the operational structures, teams, and processes that have supported the company’s expansion across Ireland. His hands-on leadership style, combined with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, has helped position Activ8 as a leading provider of renewable energy solutions.
Prior to joining Activ8, Aidan gained valuable industry experience with Kingspan, building a strong foundation in engineering and operations management. A qualified Mechatronics Engineer, he holds a degree from TUS and brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to leadership and business performance.
Outside of work, Aidan enjoys golf, running, handball, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Chief Commercial Officer
Gary Connolly, Chief Commercial Officer at Activ8 Energies, leads sales, marketing, and innovation across the business. With a background in finance and hands-on experience in construction, he brings a strong commercial and operational perspective to the renewable energy sector.
Since joining Activ8 as a Business Development Manager, Gary has played a central role in scaling the company’s operations. As General Manager of Solar NI, he successfully grew Activ8’s first Solar PV venture and led the early adoption of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and alternative financing models.
Gary holds a BBA in Business Finance from The University of Memphis, where he also played Division I soccer for a university ranked among the top 10 in the United States at the time. His broad experience across asset management, operations, and commercial strategy continues to support Activ8’s growth and innovation across Ireland and the UK.

Managing Director, Activ8 UK
Benedict joined Activ8 Energies following the acquisition of Low Carbon Energy, where he had spent the previous nine years helping grow the business through a significant period of expansion. After a short stint in sales following university, he joined the family business and progressed through a number of leadership roles, starting as a Business Development Manager before moving into Commercial Director and later becoming Managing Director.
With over 8 years of experience in the Solar PV industry, Benedict has worked across the full project lifecycle including sales, development, procurement, and project management. He brings a strong understanding of project delivery, customer requirements, and the operational factors that drive successful outcomes, with a more recent focus on business strategy and team leadership.
Throughout his career, Benedict has been involved in more than 70MW of Solar PV projects at various stages of development and delivery, working with major organisations including BMW, Boohoo, and Boeing. Outside of work, he is a keen runner and gym enthusiast, having recently completed his second marathon, and also enjoys golf and padel when the weather cooperates.

Chief Financial Officer
Dermot joined Activ8 Energies in May 2023 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience across senior finance and commercial leadership roles. He has a strong track record of supporting scaling businesses through periods of growth and transformation, with deep expertise in financial strategy, governance, commercial decision-making, and sustainable business growth.
Throughout his career, Dermot has played a key role in helping organisations strengthen financial controls, improve operational efficiency, and deliver long-term strategic objectives. He has worked closely with leadership teams to drive profitability, support expansion, and align financial performance with broader business goals.
At Activ8 Energies, Dermot plays an important role in supporting the company’s continued growth and strengthening the financial foundations of the business as it expands within the renewable energy sector. Dermot is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and, outside of work, maintains a keen interest in sport and enjoys spending time with family.

HR Director
Amy joined Activ8 Energies in June 2024 as HR Director, leading the company’s people strategy during a significant phase of growth and transformation. With over 15 years of experience across HR leadership roles in private equity-backed SaaS, renewable energy, aviation, and healthcare sectors, she brings a broad range of expertise in organisational growth, business integration, leadership development, employee relations, and building high-performing teams.
Prior to joining Activ8, Amy was Senior HR Manager with Bright Software Group, where she supported multiple acquisitions and led HR integration projects across international businesses. She is particularly focused on developing commercially driven HR strategies that support business performance, strengthen workplace culture, and help organisations scale successfully through periods of change.
Amy holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from King’s Inns, along with a BBS (Hons) in Human Resource Management. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children, unwinding in the gym, and walking on the beach with her dog.

Commercial Operations Director
Martin joined Activ8 Energies in December 2019 and brings over 27 years of experience in electrical systems, including 16 years specialising in utility and renewable integration projects across wind, transmission, substations, and Solar PV. An experienced Electrical Engineer and Electrician, Martin has extensive expertise in electrical wiring, electrical engineering systems design, procurement system implementation, compliance, and industry regulation. He also holds an MSc in Project Management from Smurfit Business School, which complements his strong technical background with advanced project delivery and operational management expertise.
Throughout his career, Martin has successfully contributed to the delivery of complex infrastructure and renewable energy projects, combining hands-on technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach. At Activ8, he plays a key role in supporting project execution, quality delivery, and technical excellence across the business.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys going to the gym, spending time with his four kids, and following GAA — a huge passion of his.

Head of Brand & Innovation
Jim McEneaney serves as the Head of Customer Journey & Innovation at Activ8 Energies, a role he stepped into following a period of rapid company growth. His mandate is to optimise cross-company processes and deliver a best-in-class, end-to-end experience for both residential and commercial customers.
Jim brings a deep understanding of the Activ8 ecosystem to this role, having previously served as Marketing Manager from July 2015 to July 2024. Over nearly a decade, he shaped the Activ8 brand and scaled its digital growth strategy—leading SEO, paid campaigns, and online lead generation to turn digital customer engagement into a massive driver of company growth.
Outside of business, Jim is heavily involved in GAA on and off the field. He is a member of his local GAA club, Geraldines GFC, where he serves on the Green Committee and Communications Committee and is currently a coach with the Louth GAA Minor management team.

Head of Finance
Sinéad has been with Activ8 Energies since November 2014 and plays a key role in the financial management and day-to-day operations of the business. A Chartered Accountant (ACA) since 2008, she brings over 15 years of finance and commercial experience, with a strong focus on financial oversight, team management, and supporting the continued growth of the company.
Before joining Activ8, Sinéad worked within the Quinn Group’s Glass Division, where she gained valuable experience in finance and operations within a large-scale manufacturing environment. Since joining Activ8, she has been instrumental in helping the business scale, combining a practical, detail-oriented approach with strong leadership and financial expertise.
Known for her reliability, organisation, and steady approach, Sinéad continues to support the business across financial planning, operational efficiency, and team management as Activ8 continues to grow within the renewable energy sector. Her experience and long-standing involvement within the company have made her an integral part of Activ8’s continued success and development.

Managing Director, Allbrite
Alan Duffy is the Managing Director of Allbrite and has over 26 years of experience in the electrical, mechanical, and renewable energy industries. He founded Allbrite in 2002 after completing his electrical apprenticeship and has since grown the company into one of Ireland’s leading heat pump installation specialists, recognised for quality, innovation, and service.
Alan installed his first heat pump system in 2006 and has since led major renewable and retrofit projects across Ireland, including Ireland’s first retrofit of heat pumps into a district heating system at the Beaufort housing project for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. In 2023, Allbrite entered a strategic partnership with SSE Airtricity and Activ8 Solar Energies. Alan also holds a Diploma in Project Management from University College Dublin and has received national “Overall Tradesman of the Year” and “Sustainable Excellence” awards.
Outside of work, Alan is heavily involved in his local GAA community as main sponsor of the senior team, former chairman of the juvenile section for five years, and a long-standing coach and mentor. He currently coaches the Donaghmoyne U16 boys team and enjoys walking, architecture, family time, and a good movie on a Saturday night.

Commercial QEHS Manager
Paul joined Activ8 Energies in March 2026 as QEHS Manager for Commercial Projects, bringing more than 25 years of experience in safety, quality and environmental management across a range of sectors. He has a strong track record of supporting businesses to improve safety standards through periods of growth and transformation, particularly in construction and utilities projects.
Throughout his career, Paul has played a key role in helping organisations strengthen safety culture and develop better controls, improve quality and environmental standards to help business achieve their objectives. He has worked closely with leadership teams to drive safety and doing so in a way that aligns with broader business goals.
At Activ8 Energies, Paul plays an important role in supporting the company’s continued improvement of QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) of the business as it expands within the renewable energy sector. Paul is a Chartered Member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, outside of work, maintains a keen interest in football and other sports and enjoys spending time with family.

Project Manager
Lindsey joined Activ8 Energies in 2010, starting in Telesales before progressing into management, operations and project management. Since then, she has worked across almost every department, gaining a broad understanding of the business, its people, and processes. Most recently, she has been working within the Commercial divisions across Ireland and the UK, supporting process improvement, business change and cross-functional projects.
With over 16 years’ experience, Lindsey brings strong operational, leadership, training and project management skills, with a passion for bringing people together, improving processes and helping teams navigate change.
Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Sports Leadership from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT), and leadership has been a key strength throughout both her professional and personal life. Most recently, she has continued to develop her project management skills and achieved her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) qualification.
Outside of work, Lindsey is a keen sports fan and has been heavily involved in Gaelic games over the years, both as a player and coach. She continues to be involved in coaching local sports teams and supporting the development of players within her community.

Head of Marketing
Eamonn Murphy serves as Head of Marketing at Activ8 Energies, leading the company’s marketing strategy across its residential and commercial operations in Ireland and supporting the continued growth of the Activ8 brand.
Eamonn has played a central role in the company’s growth and evolution, overseeing brand strategy, customer acquisition, digital marketing, communications, sponsorships and major campaigns. He has also helped shape Activ8’s positioning as the business has expanded its renewable energy offering and strengthened its partnership with SSE Airtricity.
In his current role, Eamonn leads the marketing function while also overseeing the Appointments Team, with a strong focus on connecting marketing activity to measurable commercial growth. His remit spans brand development, lead generation, customer communications and the continued development of Activ8 Energies across both the residential and commercial energy markets.
