About Our Team:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar PV Site Supervisor to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, construction teams and suppliers. The Solar PV Site Supervisor will ensure the compliance of Health and Safety practices oversee daily work activities, review working schedules, adhering to the site budget and to act as a role model in the field environment to ensure all procedures are followed as required.

The Role:

  • Ability to work on numerous projects across UK & ROI whilst being the client’s main point of contact onsite from implementation to final handover
  • Identify risks, issues, and actions throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Ensure project milestones are adhered to by all parties by maintaining constant and consistent communication channels and ensuring that the relevant sign off documents are completed
  • Ensure all communication is fully documented in line with project implementation methodology
  • Manage customer site issues/objections through to their resolution
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure there is clear communication on all projects
  • Liaise with procurement Department to ensure timely delivery of materials onsite to meet the agreed programme of works
  • Oversee system commissioning, performance testing, and handover to the client
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project reports, schedules, and correspondence
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities on large scale solar project sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
  • Lead and motivate a team of solar installers, technicians, and subcontractors
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure that all team members work efficiently and safely
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the installation and maintenance of solar systems meet industry standards
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues promptly
  • Possess a strong understanding of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic technology, inverters, and battery storage systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to ensure the optimal performance of solar installations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including installation records, safety reports, and progress reports
  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management and clients.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Background/Trade or relevant industry experience is essential
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with key decision makers
  • High degree of accuracy required in detail and presentation
  • Previous experience of working within a similar, fast-paced environment which involved resolving queries and successful delivery of projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels within an organisation
  • The ability to prioritise & manage your time and workload
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to work off own initiative and self-motivated in identifying new business
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with key decision makers
