Up to €325,200 for Commercial Solar PV
The latest Budget 2027 announcement brings significant news for Irish businesses considering solar energy. The SEAI’s enhanced Non-Domestic Microgen Grant now provides an effective 45% grant towards eligible commercial solar PV projects, with funding of up to €325,200 available.
The enhanced support applies to solar PV systems up to 1,000kWp and provides businesses with a major opportunity to reduce the upfront cost of installing solar while lowering their ongoing electricity costs.
How much commercial solar funding is available?
The enhanced SEAI grant provides different levels of support depending on the size of your solar PV system:
- 20kWp: up to €13,200
- 200kWp: up to €85,200
- 500kWp: up to €175,200
- 1,000kWp: up to €325,200
The final grant payment is the lower of the applicable grant amount or 45% of the eligible invoiced cost.
Who can benefit?
The scheme is designed to support non-domestic organisations, including businesses, agricultural businesses, public sector organisations, schools and community organisations.
For businesses with significant daytime electricity consumption, commercial solar PV can help reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower annual energy costs.
Why act now?
The enhanced grant is a limited-time opportunity. New applications qualify for the increased support, with the application window running until 6 July 2027.
Businesses should also be aware that projects must follow the SEAI application process and work should not begin before the grant offer is received.
