On-site solar for businesses across the island of Ireland, without upfront capital investment
Activ8 Energies, in partnership with SSE Airtricity, has launched a funded solar initiative worth up to €200/£170 million to help businesses in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland reduce energy cost exposure and accelerate their transition to renewable energy. Through a Power Purchase Agreement, Activ8 funds, installs and maintains the solar PV system, while the business pays for the electricity generated at an agreed rate.

Funded Solar Initiative
How it works
No upfront capital cost
Activ8 Energies, in partnership with SSE Airtricity, funds the installation of the solar PV system, helping remove the upfront investment normally required.
Generate electricity on-site
The system is installed at your premises and designed around your site, energy usage and available roof or land space.
Pay for what the system generates
Electricity generated by the system is supplied under a Power Purchase Agreement, giving your business greater long-term price certainty.
Ongoing maintenance included
Activ8 maintains and monitors the system throughout the agreement, supporting performance and reliability.

Who is it suitable for?
The initiative is suitable for businesses installing solar PV systems of approximately 250kWp and above, particularly those with consistent daytime electricity demand.
It may be relevant for:

All projects are subject to technical, financial and site suitability assessments.
