That's why we're thrilled to announce a major milestone: we've produced more electricity than we consumed at our headquarters in NEXUS N2 Business Park, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, for four consecutive months - April, May, June, and July 2023. This achievement marks a significant step towards our commitment to sustainability.
Harnessing the Power of the Sun: Our success story begins with our state-of-the-art 121kWp solar PV system installed on the roof of our headquarters. This system has been a powerhouse of green energy, generating an impressive 20,915kWp of electricity in just four months from April to July. This resulted in a 4,102kWp surplus in energy, a surplus with a purpose – to reduce our carbon footprint and promote renewable energy adoption.
Going Beyond Expectations: From March to August 2023, we continued to surpass expectations, producing an overall excess of 902kWp. This remarkable achievement is not just about numbers; it's about making a real impact on the environment.
Environmental Impact: The numbers tell a compelling story of our commitment to sustainability. From October 2022 to August 2023 our solar PV system has offset 12 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. To put this in perspective, that's equivalent to:
· Planting 534 Trees
Trees are nature's carbon sequestrators. We've effectively replicated the carbon-absorbing power of 534 trees.
· Powering 10 Households
The energy produced by our solar system could power ten average households for an entire year, reducing their reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
